After a mauling at Willington in mid week Wolviston F.C. were hoping to get back to winning ways when playing hosts to Belmont Utd. Wolviston attacked from the start and were rewarded after only 5 mins of play when Elliott Pledger flew down the left wing and crossed for Callum Blair to knock home from close range. Sadly Belmont equalised immediately after a defensive mistake let in skipper Lewis Hamilton to sweep home and pull Belmont level. On 12 mins a good ball from Glen Goodman found Pledger who outpaced his defender and shoot on the run but his effort was well held by visiting keeper Jack Hall. A deep cross from Bailey Geldhart was met by Blair with a diving header which went agonisingly wide. On 24 mins Elliott Mavi passed to Blair who knocked the ball into the path of Jamie Roberts who gratefully nudged home from close range. With 10 mins remaining of the half Richard Cass in the home goal had to make a good reactionary save to prevent Joseph Da Silva from bringing Belmont level.

15 mins into the second period Cass somehow managed to claw the ball to safety when denying Adam Watson from scoring with Belmont now pressing for the equaliser. A free kick on 67 mins by Pledger brought a smart save from keeper Hall followed by a long range shot from Belmonts Liam Forster which was confidently held by Cass at his near post. With 5 mins remaining a long range shot from Pledger flashed wide with Wolvo trying to put the game to bed. A snap shot from Blair looped off a defender for a corner which keeper Hall somehow kept out and prevent an own goal. With Wolviston playing time out for a well earned 3 points a misunderstanding in the Wolviston defence allowed Liam Butler to toe poke home the equaliser in the first minute of added on time.
