Wolviston understood that they would be in for a fast game of football when facing University side i2i Soccer Academy which proved correct. The visitors attacked from the off and after only 11 mins Hamza Ali hit the post with a snap shot followed by Wolvo's Jamie Roberts bringing a fine save from visiting keeper Jake Day in a quick counter attack. It took only 15 mins for i2i to go ahead with an accurate shot from distance by Yannis Boudiab which evaded the despairing dive of home keeper Elliott Coils. On 24 mins a cross from Alex Snaith found Callum Blair but his quick snapshot went wide before Wolvo equalised a minute later. Blair chased down a loose ball to find Jamie Roberts who smashed home to put Wolvo level. On 32 mins Blair burst forward and fed Elliott Mavi but his final shot was finally saved by Day. With 4 mins remaining i2i retook the lead when a hopeful shot by Ian Gordon deflected off defender Josh Thornton to loop over keeper Coils.

10 mins into the 2nd period i2is Hamza Ali tried his luck with a long range shot but his effort went wide. Good work by Mavi was rewarded in the 57th min when his pass found Callum Blair who kept his feet well and calmly lobbed keeper Day to put Wolvo level. A quick counter attack saw i2is Oluwatobi Rufai try his luck but his effort went wide. Wolvo were unlucky not to go in front on 70 mins when an accurate cross by Roberts found Blair whose shot on the volley crashed off the bar. 5 mins later Coils made a tremendous save from a shot by Ziyad Lahbabi to keep Wolvo in the game. With 12 mins left i2is sub Malachi Ray-Thorpe missed a point blank header by putting it over the bar. In the first minute of added on time Coils made another incredible save from Ian Gordon. i2i won the game in the 3rd minute of added on time when a strong shot by sub Jet Statham took a wicked deflection past a stranded Coils.
