Due to a road traffic incident the game was delayed 15 mins waiting for the arrival of visiting keeper Alex Carey. Wolviston started on top which saw them produce some good attacking football without breaking down the Belmont defence. It was the home team which got the first shot on target in the 5th min with Alex Carey catching Dan Quines shot comfortably. This was quickly followed by Belmont full back Josh Liddle shooting high and wide. After only 17 mins Wolvo were forced into a forced substitution with danger man Harry Minto having to leave the field with an ankle injury. David Johnson came on. Wolvo took the lead on 25 mins after good interplay between Jamie Roberts, Callum Blair and Steve Pickard resulted in the ball falling to Robbie Gratton who calmly chipped the ball over keeper Adam Ridley. Jamie Roberts 5 mins later had the ball in the back of the net again but his effort was ruled offside. On 35 mins a free kick taken by Belmonts Harry Simpson was headed over by Liddle. With Belmont pushing hard for an equaliser Wolvo keeper Carey made a fine save by bravely diving at the feet of James Hudspeth.
H.T. 0-1
A corner by Quine in the 50th min brought the equaliser for Belmont with skipper Matty Hindmarch sweeping home from close range. Sol Tones for Belmont burst clear on 58 mins but put his effort wide. With 65 mins on the clock Wolvo went back in front after a tremendous threaded pass from Pickard found Callum Blair who raced clear and calmly slotted home from the edge of the box. This lead however lasted only a minute before Belmont equalised when a short back pass was intercepted by Sol Tones who easily slotted home to bring the home side level. This put wind in the sails of Belmont who strived hard to get the winner but resolute defending by the Wolviston defence held out to earn a well deserved point.
