Wolviston were forced into making several changes due to injuries, work and holiday commitments to face promotion chasing Deerness Valley. The visitors knew they had to win all their remaining games to gain promotion and started off like an express train. They were rewarded after 7 mins after being awarded a penalty for a foul in the box by Mark Dixon. Nathan Longstaff despatched the spot kick with aplomb. This was followed 3 mins later with a ball down the middle from Valley keeper Rylie Irwin finding Thomas Rawlinson whose strong shot swerved out of the reach of Wolvo keeper Kallen Waterman to put Valley into a 2 goal lead. Waterman minutes later had to be on his toes to save a strong drive from Alma Mhlaba. Mayhem broke out in the final 13 mins of the half when ref Ryan Ashton decided to sin bin Mark Dixon followed by a yellow shown to Andy McCreesh followed by Stewart Bath being sent to the sin bin and then a minute later dismissing Drew Lambert from the field play. With the final kick of the half Harry Minto found himself clear but drove wide.

In the 80th min Rawlinson completed his hat trick with a stunning 20 yard thunderbolt of a shot after receiving a pass from sub Vanya Mykhailenko.
